Tutorial 2 · Audio

Import Audio & Add Dialogue

Set up the two things the aligner needs: a clear dialogue recording and a transcript that matches what is actually spoken.

What You'll Learn

  • Import a supported audio file.
  • Enter or paste the spoken transcript.
  • Check that the transcript matches the recording.
  • Prepare the project for Sync Audio.

Before You Start

2D Lip Sync Studio supports WAV, MP3, and M4A. Clear dialogue with minimal background noise gives the best starting point.

Step by Step

  1. Import the recording

Use the Audio panel to load the voice recording for the character.

  2. Confirm the audio

Check that the file name and duration appear correctly and play the recording if you want to verify it.

  3. Enter the transcript

Type or paste the spoken words into the Transcript area.

  4. Match the spoken dialogue

Keep the transcript as close as possible to what is actually said, including repeated words or short interjections.

  5. Choose the project FPS

Set the frame rate to match the animation project that will use the lip sync.

  6. Start the sync

Click Sync Audio when the audio, transcript, and FPS are ready.

Tip: If the speaker says a word differently from the written script, enter what is actually spoken rather than what was originally written.
