Tutorial 5 · Editing

Review & Adjust Lip Sync Timing

Fine-tune the generated lip sync by working directly with animation frames, so you can always see exactly which mouth is assigned to each frame.

What You'll Learn

  • Navigate the waveform and frame timeline.
  • See the mouth assigned to every frame.
  • Change one exact frame or a range of frames.
  • Replay the edited section and confirm the result before export.

Before You Start

The frame timeline is the editing authority. Each frame shows its assigned mouth shape, and the cyan indicator follows the current playback frame.

Step by Step

  1. Find the section to edit

Use the waveform or dialogue controls to move to the part of the recording you want to review.

  2. Choose the exact frame

Click a frame in the Dialogue & Mouth Timeline. The Preview moves to that frame so you can see the current mouth.

  3. Choose a replacement mouth

Select the mouth shape you want from the Edit Mouth Shape control.

  4. Apply the edit

Click Edit. The selected frame keeps that mouth assignment until you change it again.

  5. Edit several frames at once

Select a frame range when the same mouth should remain on screen across multiple frames, then choose the mouth and click Edit.

  6. Replay the section

Play the dialogue again and watch the Preview. The cyan current-frame indicator follows playback while your selected edit remains clear.

  7. Save and export

Save the .lipsync project, then export. The MP4, WebM, TXT and other frame-based exports use the final edited frame assignments.

Tip: If a mouth feels too brief, select a small range of neighboring frames and assign the same mouth rather than trying to work with old-style change points.
